An experimental surgery saves a young woman's (Marilyn Chambers) life... with disastrous side effects, when she develops an irresistible thirst for blood. Marilyn Chambers had already amassed quite a career by the time she hooked up with David Cronenberg to make "Rabid." Her career had already run the gamut from being the queen of Ivory Snow to being the queen of smut in "Behind the Green Door." It makes us wonder why she chose this particular film to clean up her besmirched wholesome image?
